Anna Maria Lifestyles Condo

A luxury vacation rental condo on beautiful Anna Maria Island on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

The goal was to build a website that is consistent with the high quality of the condo itself, and one that not only features the amenities of the condo but also answers people's rental questions in advance.

Boston-IA

A networking organization bringing Information Architecture and Internet Accessibility together, founded by GIDI principal, P.J. Gardner.

The goal for this website is to demonstrate as well as promote Web accessibility. This site is very successful with search engines such as Google (search for "Boston IA"). These excellent search engine results help members find consulting work and employment.

Boston SPIN

A 100-plus page redesign project for the Boston Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN), a networking organization of software engineers devoted to best practices for software development.

The goal for this project was to make the website easy to maintain by volunteer webmasters and content contributors. This organization's greatest asset is its long history.

Broadleaf Services, Inc.

A website conversion project for a company that provides cost-effective data protection and disaster recovery services to their business clients.

The goal of this project was to improve Broadleaf's ability to maintain their website content as well as to improve their search rankings, while following strict web standards and retaining the existing visual design.

Collaborative Psychotherapy

An innovative collaborative and educational approach to psychotherapy between therapist and "student" practiced by husband and wife team, Carl Schneider and Marcia Weiss. Carl and Marcia are widely recognized and quoted in the media for their expertise with dating and other relationships, as well as their work with writers and artists.

The website features artwork that hangs in the Perspectives Gallery at the Collaborative Psychotherapy offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Daoust Associates

Consulting and training services in information modeling and system integration by principal Norman Daoust. Norman is former president of the Greater Boston Chapter of the Independent Computer Consultants Association (ICCA).

The goal for this project was to create a clean site design and cascading style sheet that the client can maintain himself.

Hefez & Sons Jewelers

Hefez & Sons Jewelers custom designs fine jewelry. A family-owned business for three generations, Hefez & Sons has established long-lasting relationships with their customers through integrity, commitment to quality, and personal service.

The website features photographs of over 65 pieces of jewelry from the Hefez & Sons collection of fine diamonds, pearls, and other precious gemstones.

Hollyhock House B&B

A delightful bed and breakfast in the Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts operated by owner Louise Filkins.

The goal for this website is to make people feel the welcome they experience visiting this lovely country home. The majority of the photographs were taken by GIDI principal, P.J. Gardner.

Lean-Agile Partners

A consulting group offering coaching and training in Lean and Agile programming practices, in the United Kingdom and the USA. Lean-Agile Partners, under the leadership of Principal Coach, Nancy Van Schooenderwoert, gathers experts and early pioneers in this highly iterative software development methodology.

This project allowed us to experiment with agile and collaborative principles in the development of the website.

LIFEWORKS Career & Life Design

Career and retirement counseling services, writing seminars, and creativity coaching by principal Kendall Dudley.

The site features the client's artwork, extraordinary creativity, and love of color.

Massage Timeout

A website redesign for my sister Barbara Ferrero's massage therapy practice, located in sports rehabilitation centers in Winter Park and Orlando, Florida. Massage Timeout emphasizes deep tissue massage for elite athletes and weekend warriors, as well as expectant mothers, stressed office workers, and even other massage therapists.

The goals for this project were to enhance the message and improve the search rankings for this growing business.

P.J.'s Photo Gallery

A new site by GIDI principal, P.J. Gardner, of photographs to share with family and friends.

The site combines P.J. Gardner's hobby of taking pictures with her love of hand-coding usable and accessible websites. Her goal is to avoid sending images by e-mail. After all, not everyone has broadband or DSL!

Sister Plants

A gigantic perennial sale held each Spring for almost a decade in Reading, Massachusetts, by two sisters and other backyard gardeners.

This website is updated once each year. One of its greatest assets is the client's own flower photos.

TecAccess LLC

This prize-winning company specializes in Information Technology Accessibility, Section 508, and Section 255 compliance solutions. The majority of TecAccess associates are people with disabilities.

GIDI converted this 200-plus page website to pure XHTML and cascading style sheets to enhance its accessibility and demonstrate accessibility best practices.
